[video] plants and greetings
Hello! There are some new faces coming in, and I've already greeted some of you but.. I'm Bulba! I'm the girls' RA, so if any of you are having issues settling in to your rooms or just need a helping hand getting situated, I'd be more than happy to help you out.
[See look how happy he is, grinning at the camera at you.]
If you can't find me around the RA quarters or the kitchens, you'll have a good chance at the greenhouse.
[Which brings us to point two, which Bulba is a little less smiley about.]
Speaking of which... I know feeding the piranha plants snacks can be fun, but could whomever is doing that please stop? They haven't been feeling their best as it is, and random diets aren't helping. Thanks!
Other than that... uh... Watch your step if you head near the woods. Something's kind of... off there too, and there are some weird moths buzzing around. Some of them have been making it up towards the greenhouse, so please mind the doors when you go in and out, I don't want them nibbling on our plants. Just keep an eye out!

[And A Private video to one Vinnie von Venusaur.]
I'm worried. You have to tell me if I'm crazy or not.

Yeah, well... I could say the same for you.
Can't sleep with the quiet.
[It was like nature itself was holding its breath. Woke him up every time.]
no subject
Yeah... Lots of late night reading for me.
[Planting a small peck at the corner of his eye, Bulba pulled back to claim his usual spot on Vinnie's bed.]
Didn't think it'd ever be this quiet in my own body.

...We don't have to be here. Waiting for whatever bad shit's gonna drop.
Something's going to happen. [That part was non-negotiable. Even the earth itself could tell. He raised his eyes to meet Bulba's again, worried and bracing himself for a response.]

[it was definitely true. In all the time he had been here, even when things had gotten dire, the voices had still rung sweet and true. The unsettling calm around them was an unprecedented one.
Bulba chewed on his lip. It made perfect sense to leave. If they told the rest of the team, he'd bet they'd listen. Probably. The only thing keeping them was a thin sense of obligation. And yet Bulba's hands still tightened in his lap, meeting Vinnie's gaze with uneasy eyes.]
... What if we missed our chance?

[There were still new people arriving at the school, after all. The way home couldn't be a one way street, could it?]
no subject
Right. You're right.
[He laughed quietly, the uncertainty clear in the sound.]
This should be an obvious choice, shouldn't it?
no subject
[Yet somehow it wasn't. Vinnie wasn't sure how to explain the need to stay.]
It's been such a long time, it kinda feels like... we belong here.
[Being tied to a powerful sense of home was what being a Saur was all about.]

[Bulba pulled a knee up to his chest, resting his cheek on it as he stared down at the bed.]
This is the longest I've ever been in one place, you know?
[They had settled, almost, and it felt like roots had been planted when they weren't looking.]
no subject
Come t'think of it... Mt. Silver was the first place I settled down, but by now, I've lived here longer.
no subject
[He sighed.]
I know going would be the right thing to do to keep you and them safe, but I guess I'm... worried about everyone that doesn't have anywhere else to go.
no subject
Lookit you, bein' a Venusaur 'bout this. Heh.
no subject
It wasn't that Venusaur-y...

[Vinnie may have had a bit of a smug smile of personal satisfaction on his face. It was kinda nice to see another Saur vote for the 'stick it out and protect everyone' option rather than 'take your family and leave'.]

[Bulba smiled a bit sheepishly in turn. The implications began to settle, and with them, his expression sobered into a quiet thoughtfulness. The shiny saur shifted, leaning forward to gently squeeze Vinnie's knee to get the slight assurance touch might bring.]
no subject
Well. I'm staying if you're staying.
no subject
[The plan could change, but Bulba wasn't entirely sure that it would, if he were being honest.]
If that's the case, than we should at least try to get a few good naps in, or we're not going to be helpful to anyone. [Bulba gave Vinnie's knee another pat before he shuffled back on the bed, leaving room.]
It might be easier together?
