[Has she been waiting to say this? She's probably been waiting to say this, eyes glued to a computer screen, and more specifically the clock. Has she even slept? No, she probably hasn't slept.
In fact, she looks a little tired, sounds a little tired, but sports a grin like no other. And out comes a laugh that can only be chalked up to a lack of sleep. Maybe. Sort of.This is secretly how Noelle laughs.]

'Madame.'
Her eyebrows lifted at Sonny, as if she didn't know what to make of that. She stayed at his side, though, and as she looked around, she continued.]
Fancy. Absolutely. I might be under dressed for this.
no subject
[Regretfully, he was wearing sneakers. At least they were clean.
A smiling young lady greeted them and took them directly to their table and presented them with a wine list. There were prices per glass and per bottle and they weren't terribly priced on the first side. The second side of the one panel menu was another story.]
Voile, did you want wine?
no subject
After taking a seat, Voile did take a look at the wine list, mostly out of curiosity. Wine was a special occasion thing and while she knew there was some kind of rule about the age of consumption, she didn't know what it was at the academy and no such thing existed in Lilycove. Because Pokemon didn't drink wine, as far as she knew.
What would that even do to the system...?]
Ah... If you would like. I don't have too much of a preference. I don't know anything about wines, honestly. There was some prom one of the years, like two years ago, maybe. Might have been last year. Something like that. The punch was spiked, I guess. Marie was all kinds of sick. I've never had anything like it, or wine, so I guess I'm slightly concerned about how it would affect me?
Or maybe it wouldn't. [She shrugged, unable to truly say one way or the other.]
no subject
[Sonny would have LOVED a genuine reason to dote on little broter for a bit. Not that he particularly relished the idea of Marie getting sick. Still, he'd have enjoyed having an excuse to be there and be the Mother Hen he was inclined towards being.]
How about we try a sweet one? We'll tryyyy.... a Moscato?
[He looked at the waitress a little imploringly because really? He had no real idea about Wine either. Just what he'd picked up on cooking shows. He knew Moscato was a sweet white wine that paired nicely with dessert and spicy food.
The waitress nodded and took the menu back.]
Oh, and some water, too. Just in case.
[Because even if they didn't like the wine? Water would work to wet the whistle.]
MOSCATO IS THE BEST CHOICE. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ME BEING AT THE BOTTOM OF A BOTTLE OF IT.
[Mostly she remembered Marie being all kinds of jealous and going back to her room. Getting a little grabby. Asking her to stay by him. And him waking up in her bed the next morning when she was in the shower.
And inevitably freaking out about what he did the night before, to which Voile never actually defined. Just that he was 'fine,' mostly.]
And I'll try whatever you intend to get for us. [She flashes the waitress a little smile, who seemed to get Sonny's request without much issue.] Hopefully I don't do or say anything to make you regret that decision. It's like a learning experience for us both, too.
I love Moscato so, so much. X)c
Hopefully this one will be a good choice!
[He laced his hands in front of him and looked around the restaurant. It really WAS fancy in here. And the waiters were dressed so nicely and the food smelled so good! He picked up the food menu and glanced through.]
There's a few really nice sounding dishes - Do you see anything you might want to get?
ME TOO. But then I like most wines.
[Which was easy to say considering she didn't know any better. But that just meant she'd be easier to satisfy. Something about being oblivious and ignorant meant that she was without the particular and finicky taste that a wine connoisseur held.
She skimmed over her menu with some interest.]
I hear his salads are amazing, so I'm tempted to order something like that. What were you going to get?
I've only met a few I didn't like!
[It was one of the pricier options. But heck, she was kind of right - this was a once in a lifetime thing, most likely. Why not go a little nuts?]
I've never had lobster before and there must be a reason it costs so much everywhere you see it! I bet it tastes magical.
I think that's how wine feels about me. I am an enemy to all wines.
[Lobster. A crustacean. And while Voile had never had it herself...] Isn't that a little expensive? Do you really make enough to cover this?
[Except he was ordering for him and not her, so she probably should have kept her mouth shut.]
No, I'm sure Wine loves to be drunk! It's like you're sending it home!
[Sort of. He couldn't eat like this every week - Sale priced food was his favorite thing to find - but he had something of a nest egg set away for special occasions.]
You can try some of mine, if you want to? Have you ever had it before?
Home to my belly.
Blackjack and hookers. He opted for spoiling her. It was fairly selfless, really.]
O-oh, no. I mean. Uh... I get the feeling it's like eating a person. Or a pokemon. Like it's a living thing, right? It once had a heart and a soul. Maybe it was in love. Maybe it got taken from its mate or its family. It's hard for me to eat living things because of that.
Exactly! Home sweet stomach.
Absolutely blackjack and hookers. She was probably right. But Sonny was omnivorous by nature. He couldn't help it, really. Chances were high that with his metabolism he'd have serious health issues if he tried to follow in Vinnie's footsteps.
...still. He could set that aside for this evening. It wasn't like he couldn't eat a ham or two when he got back to school.
The waitress came back with the wine and two glasses. What would they like to order, if they'd decided?]
I'm going to have the pumpkin ravioli.
Om nom nom. I'm drinking red moscato tonight, thanks to you.
The Waldorf salad, light on the walnuts, and replace the raisins with cranberries, please. If it's not too much trouble.
[And it probably was. A little. But alas, Voile and her finicky tastes.]
I am happy to have been a part of a positive choice for you!
Well, she seems nice! Not very talkative, but probably she's busy.
You are part of many positive choices for me. :>
There are more than a few theories that can be given to someone who's not very talkative. Not saying they'd be right, but it'd hard to pin down one or two. She didn't stay long enough for me to personally pry, which is probably for the best. But you're probably right.
Working in a restaurant seems to have employees on the go-go-go. Like when I was working for Seth at the host club. I was always kept busy. It seems sort of unforgiving. I hope she makes what she deserves to.
A-Aww! X)
[Well. Nice by his own standards - he probably couldn't do 20% on this particular tab. But he'd write a nice note on the receipt and shoot for 15%. Hopefully that would be OK.]
I bet you were busy doing those! I hope it was at least a lot of fun for you. I don't think I move fast enough to do something like that really well? I think I'll stick to enjoying it from this side.
no subject
I did like working the host clubs. [Voile nodded and she reached over for her glass of wine and marveled at the deep colour.] I'd meant to be holding some for the seasons, but I almost feel like there's some lingering bitterness. Considering, after all, it was Seth who was running them. After what he was doing, people might think the host clubs always have an ulterior motive.
But mark me, I will put together another one. Maybe another joint with the contest hall.
no subject
[He picked up his own wine glass, took a sip, and found he quite liked it. Mmm!]
I hope you DO make one some time soon. Maybe your new one would help people forget about their feelings to do with Seth? Then, they could just think of the fun they had at those host clubs instead of associating it with the bad stuff.
no subject
But maybe the intents were good. He'd seemed like such a wonderful man.
A little uncomfortable by the notion, she dipped her head to eye her glass of wine.]
Seth may have done some questionable things, but he knew how to run a host club. I can't make one as wonderful as his were, but I can still make something more than worthy. I think, anyway.
no subject
I think you could make one just as wonderful. You're really smart, and you know a lot about that stuff. I think you could do anything you set your mind to - And there's plenty of people who would love to help you, too! Remember when you put together Bulba's surprise Birthday party? It's not quite a host club, but it was still pretty great!
[He'd been on Balloon Duty. His lungs had never gotten quite so strenuous a workout as that day.]
no subject
But on the other hand, I don't know unless I try. I'll find the time to put something together. Thank you, for being so confident in me, Sonny.
[She offered over to him a smile.]
no subject
I always believe in you. You don't have to thank me. And I think I still am the same person who helped at Bulba's potluck, but that's OK. I have less time than you to have changed. I mean, you had a whole extra year, after all.
no subject
I suppose I'd best not disappoint you, or my other loyal fans then. I'll give it some thought.
no subject
And when something is keeping a Snorlax awake at night.... well, you know for a fact it is some heavy, industrial grade, titanium coated, double reinforced Issue Type Stuff.]
I'm glad you will. Don't forget to let me know if you need help setting things up, OK? Or doing any cooking - I've gotten a LOT better at cooking since the last host club.
no subject
Yes. Of course, Sonny. If I need anything at all, I'll speak up. Provided it's something I can't do myself.
[And considering Knuckles had taken his leave with Goombella, she realised Sonny could be useful for heavy lifting. And knowing him, he'd be thrilled just to be practical to her.]
