[Something doesn't seem right...]
...Mm.
[All things considered, he doesn't look as perplexed as he perhaps ought to. This probably means upon waking up, he spent a lot of time staring at himself in the mirror.]
I seem to have run into some difficulty.
[While it'd be comical if he kept his soft and delicate voice, it's not quite like that. Whatever the case, he addresses what's really important at a time like this.]
I cannot fit into my dresses.

[He shrugged. He wouldn't want to take those learning experiences away from his kids. 'Yes, Sonny Jr. That handful of gravel WAS nasty. Now you know never to eat it again. Try these pop rocks instead! Or at least put some ketchup on the gravel next time.']
But I'm older and wiser, now. There's no need to chew on soda bottles when there's such a thing as lasagna in the world. And tater tots.

[No dirt and gravel for the Gardevoir. Only the finest berries of the finest trees.]
I expect you to be a better parent to your children than yours must have been to you. What were they like, anyway? You never talk about your family before Red caught you. I'm sure you had one, right?
no subject
[He shrugged.]
Mostly I just remember her being really warm and comfy to curl up with and she used to bring back lots of pine boughs and stuff for me to chew on. I think I'd like to be a bit more involved with my kids than my parents were with me! Being in a Human kind of form would help a lot with that. I don't have to eat or sleep as much when I'm like this, after all.
no subject
I agree that these humanised forms are convenient for a plethora of reasons. We can do several things with them that we couldn't otherwise.
[He got the feeling that egg group compatibility probably didn't mean a damn when it came to human forms. After all, procreation between Pokémon was different in a Pokémon form. Although he still had to wonder if the ending result of two humanised Pokémon would be an egg or an actual living, breathing thing.
Like humans. Who the hell even knew. And Brock would be the one to ask. Voile made a mental note to investigate just such a thing.]
Parenting included.

[He shrugged and grinned at Voile.]
It wasn't as bad as I was worried about, though. At least, I hope so. I'm really grateful for this body.
no subject
...Huh. So you thought I was going to be some attention deficit hyperactive disorderly punk that needed to be entertained constantly. [What a pleasant surprise.] Pretty sure by this point you've figured out that I don't need you to amuse me. I'm perfectly capable of keeping myself occupied.
Besides, there's some human saying about how there's knowledge in silence. By studying body language, even in sleep, you can figure out some traits on the individual. Naturally, having a human body helps with that. It's easier to pinpoint it on a human than a Pokémon, I think. Another upside to humanisation, I suppose.
no subject
Haha! Wow! What? No, I didn't think anything like that!
[He didn't think he'd ever strung together anything even remotely resembling 'some attention deficit hyperactive disorderly punk' before in his life.]
I guess you can learn a lot about someone by the way they sleep. Restless sleepers and stuff. I don't know what I'm like when I'm asleep except that I used to snore a lot before I discovered breathing strips.
[He fooled around in his pocket for a moment before pulling one out.]
You never know when a nap might strike. Always be prepared!

[Lofting an eyebrow, Voile motioned indicatively. Even acted it out for him.]
Next thing you know, you'll be in the cafeteria ready to eat, you'll lean over to put some salt on something—your potatoes, I don't know—and then you'll just pass out. With your face in potatoes.
Maybe you should be wearing those strips all of the time.
no subject
[Yes. All at once. No, you can't judge him.]
But I have a little more control than THAT! At least enough to lean back in my seat instead of slump forward!
no subject
Do you? Really?
[That was the face of a Gardevoir who didn't believe what he was hearing.]
I think you're full of it, honestly. I think if there was food in front of you and you had to start a war between food and sleep, regardless of the form you were in, you wouldn't be able to fully control your impulses. You might try, but I think you'd fail at it. A lot.
no subject
[He'd worked very hard on this thankyouverymuch.]
no subject
[Or maybe he didn't. Not that it mattered too much. Sonny was his own person and Voile had to respect that. And he imagined that if the roles had been reversed, Voile's patience for people telling him what to do would have been lacking.]
But whatever. If you say so, Sonny. Who am I to call your bluff?
no subject
no subject
And then you're going to be my servant for a week.
no subject
no subject
[Because he was pretty certain he'd be the one to win.]
I won't lose, though.
no subject
We'll see about that!
no subject
Yes. I just suppose we will.
[But with the smug little grin he was wearing, he was still pretty sure he'd be coming out on top.]
no subject
So, how long is the bet going to last? And do we have to use up our week of servant-ing immediately or could we call on it at a later time?
no subject
[Voile lifted his eyebrows.]
I've never made a wager before, so whatever you want to do is fine.
no subject
[That all seemed entirely reasonable, right?]
no subject
[Because again, he had nothing to compare it to. It'd definitely be something to make a note of for later purposes, however.]
Anything else people do to seal accords or did we already do that with the handshaking?
