This martial law is a bunch of nonsense. I don't care how much "good" it seems to have done. Even bad ideas can seem good at first. It's like wrapping a broken leg with linens. It seems to fix it at first, but by the time you realize you should've used splints, the damage is irreversible. You probably won't walk again.

And now we have these things flying around like a bad piece of linen, telling us what to do and how to do it. What's next, you'll tell me what I can and cannot eat? Confine me to the dorms? Ground me like I'm 5?

Gods, what is wrong with this place? Father wished for me to complete a good education, but I hardly think this is what he had in mind.

It is evident. That which has caused strife throughout history. We must be brought to enlightenment.

Are you saying that we are the source now? Or is this some general "good on paper" kind of ideal?

The world, the universe itself, is flawed. Eliminate us and something will rise to take our place. We must strike out at those inherent flaws in creation and set them right.

That is why it must be controlled. Something to oversee the creation, to maintain it and keep it free from such things.

It sounds more like we're replacing one problem with another, though in starting a new land, a ruler does need to set proper laws. [ that's his idea of creation, mind you. ] There is a fine line between order and oppression, however.

I do not seek to oppress but to liberate. Where justice reigns, oppression cannot exist.

I seek a just world.
