[Kyogre is perched entirely upside down on his bed, knees pointed to the ceiling, and head hanging over the side of the mattress. The computer must be on the floor, and he looks into it with bored, half lidded eyes. Tainted Love is playing, tinny, from the radio, but he is humming Sweet Dreams. He blinks.]

It's getting warm outside. Does anyone need tutoring? I should open up my office hours again, mmn... I've been so lethargic.

[He reaches off screen and grabs a glass of water. Rather than turn over and drink from it, he just dumps it over his face.]

Waaaaagh. I was really diggin' the cooler weather too, y'know? Oh well. All good things must come to an end. How are you all faring? The warmer weather brings heightened passions. May not be the best thing considering the more aggressive members of the community...

[He presses a button on a small remote, and the entry ends abruptly.]

[Now there's a thought -- it had never occurred to Kieran to look at legendaries in that light. To think there was something he had experienced that a god hadn't! He looks surprised, but he quickly nods.]

I won't keep you waiting, then! We can talk more once we're there.

[He bobs his head in a hasty little almost-bow, then cuts the video feed. Oh boy, hanging out with the divine!]

[Kyogre makes it to his office before Kieran, and scuttles around, pushing books off chairs and filling up teacups with the promised tea. He blows some dust off of a box of biscuits. Maybe since they've never been opened, they won't be stale.]

[Kieran shows up a little while later, peeking his head in and doing another excited little half-bow. It's usually his nature to just barge into places, but a little more respect is called for when dealing with gods, especially ones with eyes that gold.]

Can I come in, Rain-bringer?

[He spins around to give Kieran a wide smile, beckoning the Sawsbuck in with one hand.]

Yes! Yes, please come in.

[Well, who could feel unwelcome with a smile that friendly, right? In he goes.]

You said something very intetesting before I left. You've never been through a rut before, right?

[He pulls out a chair in front of his desk as he moves back into the room, and collapses into his own on the other side, swinging his boots up onto the surface of the desk as he sits. He ponders.]

Hmmm... Yep, that's what I said. A rut, that's going into heat, yes? I can't have children, so...

[Can't have fawns! It... made sense, when he thought about it -- one never really heard about herds of Kyogres splashing around, did they? But somehow the concept feels extraordinarily strange to him. He reaches up to scratch at the base of one antler as he sits down, rolling the idea around in the back of his mind.]

That seems incredibly sad to me, Rain-bringer! I'd never thought much about what the gods can't do, only what they can do. No parents, no children, no herd, no rut... isn't that lonely?

[This seemed to catch him off guard, slightly. His gaze flicked down to his interlaced fingers. Was it... lonely? It should be. He did feel lonely, now that Kieran mentioned it. But then again, he didn't. The water type felt entirely with his mind, not with his heart. He should feel happy, so he acted happy. He should feel fondly of someone, so he acted fond of them. The only emotion that he ever felt with his whole body was angry. So... he should feel lonely. He would act lonely. Just like always.]

... It is. Much of my time spent in the ocean is spent by myself... though you're slightly off-- I do have a mother.

Spring isn't especially warm... It's known for being a mild season. Does the slight change of weather really bother you that much?

All the flowers are blooming... it's a tough time of year, I have to over compensate with the rain to keep it from getting too dry!

I'll never complain about a light shower, though... I just have to keep my energy up~

Oh, that's right... You have command of the rain! That explains why it takes energy to keep up with the changing of cold to warm. Spring showers are some of the best parts about spring, though.
