[Just as arranged, Pit showed up at the stadium, on the lookout for his new sparring partner. Attached over each hand is a clawlike weapon, kind of reminiscent of Wolverine or something. He can't seem to keep still.]

You're on time.

[The guy, apparently has been standing around here for a while, as he just approached the angel-looking boy from the middle of the stadium.]

That excited, huh?

[Pit obviously didn't need to keep the search going for long at all.]

Yeah! I wanna see what kind of fight you can bring me. [He's bouncing lightly on his feet, claws extended in front of him like he's ready to go.]

Since you're so eager, let's just start this.

[And grabbing a red-and-white sphere from his side, he's going to throw them towards the field, releasing a quad-winged bat.]

He'll go first.

[Upon gazing at the daunting purple back, Pit hops a step backward with a look of surprise. Yikes, talk about a scary-looking opponent! But he's seen scarier, so this should be a walk in the park.]

Fine by me! [A look of determination taking over, he dashes forward and starts things off by leaping through the air to claw him out of the air. He's lightning-quick with his movements, almost unnaturally so, but that's due to his choice of weaponry.]

[There was not a command as the Crobat was fast enough to actually dodge that attack, but apparently not fast enough to let that blow completely miss it.

Still, a glancing blow could be felt by it as it got far away from Pit. Of course, at this distance, the only way it could attack is if...]

Air Cutter him out of the sky!

[The Crobat performed several slashing motions with all its wings, causing sharp wind waves to fly towards the angel at high-speed!]

[As gravity was returning Pit back to earth after his leap, the Air Cutter sliced into his back, knocking the wind out of him.]

Gah-!

[Instead of alighting adeptly onto his feet like he was about to, he slammed into the ground blunderously. Cringing, he collected himself back to full height and faced his opponent with a more serious doggedness stamped across his face. He bolted for the bat, boosted himself airborne again, and lashed out with his claws like he was going for a scissor cross- much more powerful than his last skirt!]

[The attack connects, causing Crobat to actually be scratched quite badly as it disengaged from such a close distance, but considering there's not much time for it to actually get enough distance, Silver decided to give it another command.]

Confuse Ray, now!

[And it's going to shoot out a beam of light that might be a little dazzling at point blank range!]

[A little? Understatement of the week. It hit Pit face-on. Now he's back on the ground and stumbling around on chicken legs, trying to make sense of his surroundings but not really having the mental faculty available to him right now.]

UhHhHHHhHhhh... Whereduh ponent go...

[There's a small sigh of relief as at least the kid's now pretty damn open for another attack.]

Now, Bite him!

[Yeah, this one's pretty self-explanatory as the Crobat just dived, poised to bite one of Pit's limbs!]

[No doubt about it; he's flailing around madly trying to peel the Crobat off his arm and release himself from this excruciating pain, but get this- half the time he winds up hurting himself. Crazy, right?]

[He struck with his claw! This time he hit his mark way more accurately.]

Look! I don't know if you've ever been in a Pokemon battle, but being inflicted with a status condition? Not a walk in the park! I'd like to see YOU handle it!

[He looked pretty non-chalant as the Crobat was flung away, swirly eyes noting him that he's pretty much out. Which meant that he's going to return it to its Ball, before, well-]

[Wearing another determined grin while dusting off his smarting arm for good measure, he bent his knees and bobbed back and forth like a frisky winged cat about to pounce.]

On and on! I'm ready to get all my limbs chomped on if that's what it takes!

Well, I know one thing that's definitely going to happen.

[With one movement, he released his Magneton from the confines of his Pokéball, just floating in front of the angel boy as if waiting for his attack.]

You're going to get shocked.

Not if I can help it!

[Pit doesn't know it, but it's gonna be extra hard taking this one down. He plays it safe and keeps a distance while he fires rapid spiny needles from his Hedgehog Claws at Magneton, not particularly liking the idea of getting a zap treatment right now. These needles fly like bullets but are relatively weak, but he can send a barrage of them quickly.]

Magnet Bomb him!

[And just as the needles pinged off uselessly due to Magneton's typing, does the 'mon let loose a lot of rocks aimed at Pit that... well.

Let's just say that it wouldn't miss at all thanks to the nature of the attack.]

[Pit takes the damage without much of a fuss beyond a grunt, realizing that his rapid-fire long-range attacks are feeble. Darn. What should he do now? If only he had some kind of guidance from above telling him its weak spots...

Well! Only one way to find out! Still reluctant to go in closer, he fires a charged shot- going for more power than speed this time (but the shot was still undeniably swift). If only he went with a more damaging weapon!]

[Fortunately for Pit, those charge shots are actually damaging it bit by bit as it continued to let the barrage loose, as they said. Silver's still staring passively at this development, though.]
