[Garrett couldn't have been happier with his decision to abscond to the nearby city when he did. For once, there is a crisis and he doesn't have to do anything about it. What a liberating feeling that was. Meanwhile, that little communicator that he swiped kept beeping as people inside and out wrote frantic messages to one another. It was something to pass the time, except that it was all out of context for someone who was stuck on the outside and had no idea who any of these people were to begin with. He didn't really want to get involved, but surely poking around for more details couldn't hurt...]
