All this idle time had made an old Pokemon itching to do something. Anybody want a swimming lesson down at the pool? Or just come and keep me company, but I know you'd all like a lesson.

[Either way, the Vaporeon can be found messing around at said pool, making waves now and then but mostly just swimming around and keeping himself strong and used to the water. The lack of it around campus is very unnatural. He needs to get someone to make a miniature pool in his room. Or maybe a fountain.

Jet also may or may not have made a slide out of ice that he's thoroughly enjoying launching off of and into the deeper parts of the pool. Running around is not advisable due to the cold, wet and occasionally frosted ground]

[ He might notice, juuuuuuust off in the distance, a pretty good walk from Stadium to pool, was a hedgehog about as blue as he was eyeballing the scene in front of him.

He said he would consider visiting, but it was obvious Sonic was still completely unsure of getting anywhere near Jet.

Given a minute or two, though, he starts to gradually make his way closer, closer, and even closer.

~~God, Sonic, you're pathetic, aren't you.~~ ]

Oh, the Vaporeon truly is a unique creature!

[Heeey Jet old buddy old pal. Don't mind if Casey spends half the time snoozing next to or even on top of your ice slide. It's too hot out for her liking.]

[Oh. It's the Squirtle from before. Except there's a distinctive pair of tufts on the top of his head that certainly wasn't there the last time he'd spoken to Jet.

Marie, later in the day, is lurking at the edge of the pool. He hasn't dipped his toes in yet, but he's watching the Vaporeon and trying not to look like a total creep.]

[He is totally pretending that he hasn't noticed Sonic. Jet busies himself climbing up to the top of his slide, backing up for a run-up, and charging at it, sliding down it on his belly and launch! He flips around in the air before splashing down into the water.

Jet stays under for a moment before spiralling up to the surface, making a miniature whirlpool in his wake and letting it pull him around a bit before it stops, leaving him facing the hedgehog. He grins and waves with a paw] Vapor~ [Excuse the lack of talking in this form]

Naaaah, not really. Just one of the coolest.

[Biased Jet is biased]

[He doesn't mind, though she might get a little wet from him climbing up it while soaking to make another launch into the pool.

He's so tempted to push her down that ramp too...so tempted. Hmmmmmm...]

[Jet doesn't mind being watched, he's more than used to it. He recognises Marie from under the water, noticing the tufts and realising that he might've evolved. He also remembers the shyness, so instead of swimming over, he surfaces a short distance away and waves at the other water type]

[ Sonic stopped walking when Jet began to go nuts with the water, half expecting him to barrel the entire pool at his face like a truck. When nothing comes of it, he gets himself closer, offering up a smirk to hide his random paranoia. ]

That's pretty cool, actually. So you've got a stable control on water itself, huh? [ He laughs. ] That would make ya a pretty good swimming instructor.

[ And he's not worried too much about speech. He's dealt with plenty of Chao, after all! ]

[The Pokemon chuckles at that, and right before Sonic's eyes, literally turns into water, diving under and disappearing totally for a little while.

Before squirting a thin jet of water at Sonic's face.

Jet laughs as he reappears, swimming lazily at the edge of the pool and smiling. Control over water, he certainly has. No one would ever come to harm in a pool he was swimming in. They might get pranked once or twice harmlessly though]

[ At first, Sonic is fascinated, watching Jet in his (literal) element, eyes following him with his stellar reflexes and appreciating what his abilities had to offer. How cool was that? It reminded him of the feeling Wisps would give him, and wondered if it was the same.

Jet was a... Pokemon, right? Hah. Definitely impressed...! ]

[ .... but then he got water in his eyeballs and that was just rude. He was a little less impressed.

He shook the water off his head, wiping his nose and giving a sharp sneeze from the water that shot into his nostrils. He sniffs back and crouches beside the pool, looking at him with narrowed eyes. ]

Very funny.

[ Eventually his eyes are running along the small rolls of waves that lap at the border, the barrier between safety and Why is it so deep. ]

[Jet laughed again, pleased with himself, before noticing where Sonic was looking. Well, he was fond of the deeper end, but that was not a good place to start]

Vaporeon! [He flicks an ear-fin in a 'follow me' kind of way and swims his way up to the shallows. The water there was shallow enough that he was nearly touching the bottom, something Sonic could stand in easily. See, no drowning here! Nice and basic and shallow water]

[ He follows Jet's lead, traversing to the more forgiving end of the pool, spines far less tense and risen, showing it as they relaxed against his back once more.

He sits down and pulls off his socks and shoes, no hesitation to be seen, and even when he scoots his way to swing his legs over the edge, he's pretty much okay.

He'd been in over his head with water before, but always with discomfort and a purpose. The fact this was voluntary, however, was interesting. ]

Aah. Feels real good!

[Much better! Jet approves, letting out a happy sound and swimming in circles, leaving a small wake behind him. He loves it when people start liking the water, it's always been fun teaching the young ones how to swim. Hedgehogs weren't quite Eevee, but he was sure he could manage.

He rolls onto his back, floating along lazily and thoroughly enjoying himself, rather otter-like. Swimming was so relaxing]

[ Sonic watches him go, chuckling at how enthusiastic he is. He could stand to pick up some of that.

He gives his legs a couple of swings, then takes a hop into the water. He looks around for... some certain bodies, but when he doesn't see them anywhere, he folds his fingers against his hip, tail swaying about behind him. ]

So... what now?

[He claps his paws together happily, flipping back over and swimming over to Sonic, stopping at his side]

'Poreon. [He nudges at Sonic's hand, wriggling his way to get it up and onto his head. With some luck and understanding, Sonic'll realise Jet's planning to get Sonic's arm around the Pokemon's neck]

[ Which Sonic is starting to pick up. He's here for, erm, lessons, after all.

He slips his arm 'round his neck, tilting his head down at Jet with a ticked brow. ]

Like this?

Vapor~ [He nods approval, settling to make sure that he's not going to whack Sonic with his neck fin by accident.

Then he paddles off, tugging at the hedgehog. He's not going too deep, just far enough that Sonic can't quite touch the bottom properly. Jet treads water once he's happy with the depth, watching Sonic and making sure he doesn't panic]

[ As they progress, he finds himself further up on his toes, more and more until he's almost hopping on them to keep his head up. He doesn't look very sure about this anymore, his grip on the Vaporeon escalating to a nervous squeeze. ]

Th.. This really gonna be okay?

Vaporeon, por. [His voice is reassuring, not leaving Sonic's side. Don't worry kid, he's not going to let you drown.

He nudges the hedgehog and looks down at his own legs, focusing on how he's kicking to keep himself up, then looking at Sonic's legs. Try copying what he's doing]

[ He's looking around again. SOMEONE IS EMBARRASSED.

Buuuut he follows him, trying to swing his legs about. At first it's haphazard, but he tips his nose skyward, takes a breath to calm down, and then his legs find a rhythm.

Oh... hey, it's working. ]

Huh... [ Cue a tiny smile. ]

[It's like teaching tiny Eevee all over again. Aaaaah, nostalgia.

Jet's pleased at any rate, grinning and nodding approval. See, not too hard! He paddles himself in a short semi-circle so they're facing the shallows again. This time he reaches to tap Sonic's free arm, and then makes an outwards motion, like dragging his arm through the water.

It's very awkward for the four-legged Vaporeon, but he's pretty good at mimicking how humans swim now. And this way Sonic can get used to the movement without having to let go]

[ Okay, OKAY. He can do that. He echoes his movements, somewhat sluggish about it and completely confessing to unseeing eyes (save for Jet's, obviously) that this was Sonic's slowest moment in history. He pulls the water with his hand to try and get the movement down, feeling himself moving forward. ]

... Hah. Heh! This isn't too bad! You're good, teach!

[He laughs, very happy about this] Vaporeon~

[Now, this could be interesting. Once Sonic's used to it, Jet nudges him and nods, then slowly ducks his head down and out of Sonic's grip. He's still there though, just under the water and within reach. He believes Sonic has enough of it down that he can keep himself afloat, and even possibly make it back to where he can stand by himself. The Pokemon will stay by him though, watching and making sure he's okay]
