A birthday amoungst others [Just as 4th Wall Hits]

"No it is quite alright grandfather. I would rather finish my week's study rather than celebrate...yes, I know."

17 years old. In Naoto Shirogane's life, the number was simply one that brought her closer to her adulthood, but, strangely enough now it did not seem to matter as much to her. The battles of last year had made her grow, but also reminded her that she had a time to enjoy herself.

Of course, she was still who she was. Celebrating her birthday on a school day wasn't quite in her plans, and when her grandfather had called her, they had scheduled something for the weekend instead. Little did she know that very soon, a few walls would be breaking and even those would have to be rescheduled.

"..Thank you. I'll come visit you this weekend."

Good afternoon. I hope that everyone's studies are advancing positively. The end of the school year is coming closer as the days go by and I would not want anyone caught unaware.

Again, I offer my services for those who might need extracurricular work for grades or that need a study partner. I believe I should be able to help with most subjects.

[A little while after Naoto had posted that entry, there was a knock on the window. If she were to look over, she would see a familiar stuffed bear knocking and waving behind the glass.]

[Just as she was about to curl in bed with a good book, the sound of the glass made her look and...was that?!]

[She runs over and opens the window for him.]

I was not told you'd be arriving here!

Well, I didn't tell any-bear that I was coming! I wanted to surprise you!

[Admittedly, Naoto does not get that very many presents. She had probably gotten more last year with the team than what she had before in her entire life. It wasn't that her Grandfather didn't give her anything (on the contrary), but gifts from friends themselves. She smiled back, taking it.]

When she does open it, it looks like a coupon for Junes, along with a framed picture of the entire Investigation Team that they took before Yu left on the train the first time.
