Like it was only yesterday...

Wow... It feels like I was only here yesterday! Well, it kinda was, actually!

So I went back home the other day and just got back, only for me I've been gone for months, and now I'm back! You would not BELIEVE what I went through back home!

Risky Boots attacked Scuttle Town again and stole a magic lamp, but I went after her. I had my magic sucked out and got turned into a human again, then destroyed my magic half. And then the town got taken over by a psychotic cyclops with a tank, Risky came back, and her old boss was coming back to life. So I became a pirate with her to help stop him, and got my magic back, and totally kicked the Pirate Master's butt to save the world!

Pretty awesome, huh? So since I technically haven't been gone from here for more than like... a day or two, did I miss anything interesting?

Well, no... Risky told me I was kinda bad at it because I kept helping people. And I never actually did any pillaging or anything...

Well, it seems like it happens to other people all the time, so why not me? It's actually kinda convenient sometimes!

True. I'm still not used to the differences in time, however. I don't think I'll ever get used to it either. I wish I could, though.

I'm not really used to it either, but I figure, why complain if everything works out in the end? I got to go home, and can still come back here without missing anything!

That is true. It's easy to want to know the 'how's and 'why's behind everything, so it's easy to ask about them and spend the time to wonder. You're not wrong, though. Here you are, and you got to see your home. It's not like you've really lost anything at all.

And I'm really grateful for that! After the time I had before, it'll be nice to just have a normal life again for a while. And I don't have to miss any dance lessons!

I think you're my most ecstatic student, Shantae. I get the feeling that if you were missing, I'd have to put the entire dancing class on hold just until we found you.

You say that, but you can't just stop a skip in time from happening. Where time intervenes, I don't think you can.

Well... I didn't actually steal anything... or pillage... or do anything that pirates... actually do... And I went around helping people a lot... But I did sail around, wear the outfit, and fight with a pistol and sword!

I guess so! Is there a word for a pirate who isn't actually bad? Maybe I'm just a swashbuckler! Except I don't have any pirate gear anymore, and the ship was actually Risky's... But still, I have the outfit!

Do you think you'll stay a pirate now? What without a sea to sail on, after all.

Well... Probably not. Risky told me I was pretty bad at it. I think I'll stick to being a Guardian Genie!

She's... not exactly a friend, really. More like my arch enemy turned temporary ally, I guess.

Are you going to be a pirate for Halloween? Or are you bored of pirates after a long pirate adventure like that? Hey, I don't think I've ever met a real pirate before! That's so cool!

I DO already have the costume, but after everything that's happened, I might want to try something else...

I like lots of stuff! Ponies, Ninja Squirtles - I was thinking of going as one of them this year, that way I could walk around with a stack of pizzas and it would be a part of my costume. I like Whiny the Pooh, Steel Samurai, Justin Beiver, Pumpkins.... I don't know. I like too many things! I think that's what my problem is, mostly! Too much fun stuff to pick from!

Definitely. Bolo trained me for regular human combat, but you better believe I was glad to get my powers back.

He's one of my best friends back home. He's a great fighter, but he's kinda airheaded. And clumsy. And an idiot. And easily distracted. But other than that he's great.
