Exploration!

[Link is exploring the campus. Empty classrooms, broom closets, forgotten and dusty nooks and crannies. You name it, he's exploring it. He needs to know where everything is, to fill out his map. A compass marking treasures would be nice at some point. In the meantime, he can be found anywhere your character might happen to be on campus. Probably breaking random crockery or cutting grass.

Because that's what heroes do.]

[Skull Kid was in a tree, waiting for unsuspecting passersby to lob pebbles at, and getting more bored by the second. After what seemed like an eternity, he heard someone nearby! He reached for a pebble to throw, but stopped when he saw who it was.

No.

Way.

He looked the part. He had the hat. He was even chopping through grass willy-nilly. But there was no way he would be here, right? Maybe he should get a closer look...

Skull Kid slowly climbed out of the tree and slunk closer to Link. First, he just stared. Should he say hi? Maybe he should say hi.]

...Hi.

[Whoa. A skull kid. Talking. To him. This was all really, really new. Usually the skull kids kept to themselves, playing their flutes, away from the Kokiri.

Link blinked at the kid in more than a little shock before lifting his left hand and giving a small wave.]

Hi.

[Oh gosh he's talking to him! Skull Kid regrets not having some crayons on him, otherwise there would be an art party right here and now. It occurred to him he wasn't sure what to say next. Skull Kid was used to people leaving and never coming back. It happened to him everywhere he went, even here. He never really thought about what you say when you DO see someone again.]

Um... how have... you been?

[Was this one of the skull kids from the lost woods? Had this kid seen him when he was out foraging for the village perhaps?]

I'm being good! I haven't done anything bad... well, um, nothing really bad, at least.

I left after you left, and I came here. Oh! did you ever go back? Sorry if I wasn't there.

[He left the forest after Link left? So he must have just arrived, too! ...wait, that would mean he followed Link out.]

...were you following me?

Nope! I was hiding up in that tree and I saw you walk by! If I was followin' you, you wouldn't know until it was too late! You out of anybody should know that!

[giggle giggle, good job missing the point, Skull Kid.]

[Would he? He'd never been stalked by a Skull Kid before... Maybe he wouldn't know until it was too late.]

I was gonna jump out of it and surprise people!

B-but I wasn't gonna, you know, steal anything from them or anything.
