[I'll save them for a rainy day. That's what Kyogre had told Warren as he took one cherry red and one ocean blue lollipop from the blonde in his dorm.
So, it wasn't raining, sure. But maybe later, Ky would be able to work up a pleased light drizzle for all the boys and girls out there.

An hour later, the Pokemon was lying in the bathtub, staring up at the ceiling. The nozzle he was currently using as a footrest was lazily dripping. Drip. Drip. Drip.

The ceiling was cracking.

Blink. Drip. Blink.

The ceiling was cracking. It wasn't the paint though. It was coming from above, beyond the paint. Browning. Cracking. Heating up, like someone had taken a flame thrower to the roof, and the heat was just starting to push through the plaster.

He looked down to find that all the water was gone. It evaporated.

The bathwater sloshed around Ky as he sat up in alarm. He panicked, nearly tripping on his way out of the tub.

The plain white shower curtain hanging uselessly from the rod above him burned up in flames before his eyes. The ground shook angrily. He pressed his back against the once cool porcelain behind him, now burning hot. He felt his human flesh begin to sear. The air was the driest it had been in months and months.

The walls in the bathroom were sweating as if the occupant had been running a hot shower for the past hour. The dripping faucet was running now.

Kyogre brought his knees in against his chest, eyes darting around the room. Hadn't been this dry for months and months. Not since he had last seen her.

Water that had overflowed from the bath pooled around the man hunched over on the floor. Faucet running at full blast. One crack of thunder from outside, unaccompanied by lightning.

That had to be the only explanation, right? His twin sister was back, and she had brought the drought with her. He turned his eyes to the small window near the ceiling, squinting as the sun shone in brighter than he had ever seen it.

Kyogre squinted as he turned his eyes towards the window. No sun shone through. Dark, heavy rain clouds had blocked it out completely. A few light raindrops landed on the glass.

He hadn't been strong enough to prevent this. He hadn't been paying attention. Too much time in these past months flitting through the faculty and student body, playing the part of the eccentric legendary. Had lost sight of his true purpose.
There was a sudden, white hot blaze of anger. His own fault, for getting distracted, for letting his guard down. The school's fault, for getting him to that point. And most of all, Groudon's fault for even existing in the first place.

There was no middle ground from the first few light drops to the sudden, torrential downpour that was now happening. All the faucets in Kyogre's bathroom, all the faucets in Kyogre's entire dorm were spurting out water so hard they nearly groaned under the pressure.

She stood before him now, but she said nothing. Just a curl of the lip, a silent challenge. She brought a hand to hover over his head, and it radiated heat.

Maybe they really were groaning. The room was heavy under the mist of condensation.

Too much to take. More than he should have to. More than he ever should have had to. He didn't move, not a muscle. All he did was look up at her.
And growl.

The faucets in the bathroom exploded. Water shot across the bathroom, into the opposite wall.
One more loud crack of thunder would be the next warning the residents of Smash Academy would get to look out their windows and see the weather. Forget the raincoats, you might want to invest in an ark. FDC is now flooding.]
