oo1; video.
[The feed flickers on, and at first, not much more can be seen beyond a ball of very creamy fluff with a leaf attached to it. What a way to start a video introduction, what with the Leafeon dipping its head and sniffing at the camera. What a funny contraption, it might think.
From behind it, however, a voice rings out, one that is gentle yet awfully fast.]
Thank you for greeting everyone, Leafeon...! How very kind of you.
[The Pokemon cries out with joy and hops away from the camera, leaving it focused on a very familiar face, one with hazy grey eyes and minty-green hair cascading down his back. His ponytail is notably undone for now, a nearby fan blasting in his direction as he tries to cool off. Despite his clearly weary and scalding condition, he smiles brightly into the camera, hands clapping together.]
Smash Academy! It has been far too long. [He glances off to the side, seeming a bit bashful.] I, ah... I must apologize. I had more of the world to see, and I left rather quickly. I was uncertain that I'd done the disenrollment process properly, as well... [He faces the camera again, looking more uplifted again.] Regardless, the hands have given me a warm welcome, so I suppose I have done nothing wrong. In fact, they have allowed me to increase my grade. It seems I am in college now...!
[He briefly pauses, a hand cupping his chin as he ponders.] Yet, I am not sure how to begin with my major... What does an aspiring Pokemon professor take...? [He shakes his head.] I would think that is not urgent yet. I have to check on my friends! My dear, dear friends...
[He folds his hands neatly on his lap, grinning.] I have missed you all. How are you doing? Are you all still here?

Re: [video]
Then you would let the world burn. Countless victims, cut down before the scythe of war and hatred, all because you would rail against harming three single beings.
Are you familiar with the concept of martyrdom, N? You ought to be; it is a powerful thing.
[[He doesn't wait for a reply but launches into an elaboration right away]]
A martyr gives themselves for a greater good, often accomplishing it with their lives. To die for something cannot be done lightly, but can be far more powerful than living for that same thing.
You would die for your ideals. Of this I am certain. To protect your view of the world, you would gladly give your life.
Yet what then? What becomes of that cause once you are no longer alive to further it?
...I ask of them not their lives, but their essences. Something with the ability to purify us. We are incomplete beings, but with their suffering, we may all become whole.
We must not descend further. We must demand no more of our martyrs. With one final act, I will deliver peace unto the world, and there will be no more suffering, no more strife.
And you would prevent that, casting us further into darkness, until we can no longer find our way. We will be lost, N, without that light. The light they have the capacity to deliver to us.
Re: [video]
[N levels himself, shoulders straight, eyes narrow, teeth clenched.]
A sacrifice for a cause depends upon numerous factors. These are all formulas... ones that entwine in different ways, and they must logically work in conjunction. Causing pain in three Pokemon who refuse to adhere to your cause is immoral. It is a fracture, a fallacy in your equation.
[He lifts two hands, as if holding the very world in them.]
Another would be the uncertainty. Their essence may not accomplish what you hope to. What of that? What of a possible control they hold over their own essence? What if their sacrifice is in vain?
[His eyes narrow.] Just like death.
[His hands lower.] I look to end as much strife in the world as possible, yet I see now... that the world is ultimately flawed. Many things are flawed, yet that is how the equation of the world works. Things are as they should be, however horrid, and if the equation is disrupted, so will this world. Instead, one must add to this equation, multiply the good, try to divide and subtract the negativity.
Do you not understand? It is all a matter of mathematical logic, just as anything else in this world is, and I will not have your foolishness interrupt it!
Re: [video]
You speak of science and math, such logical things, yet in the same breath you cast doubt. Do you believe there was a doubt within me? If you do, you believe falsehoods.
...no, that has been accomplished anyway.
You are enamored with logic, yet your words have none.
Re: [video]
If your implication is that you believe I do nothing for this world, then you are, indeed, a fool, although I would address you as one regardless.
Do what you will, but whatever the reason, I will not have you harm another Pokemon again.

Re: [video]
That is the only way to save us all. And you would have me do nothing.
