[Action/Narrative]
'Petulant child,' he had called her. To say she wasn't slightly spurred on by it was a falsehood. Eggman had certainly struck her into initiative. And not the sort that seemed so diplomatic, for she would have preferred it if Flurrie could control him to the point of turning his attention from his authority over the grounds. Force wasn't what Eirika wanted to use and it was with a heavy heart that she kept her rapier on her. But she knew very well that what she'd planned on doing was not something simple and if she was caught - by him, no less - it would turn out poorly.
For her, of course.
The curfew could be ignored for one night. It would have to be. While she knew nothing of the cameras that could catch her and paint her in guilt, she had very little intention to deny what she was a part of. When it came to pass, she would wear the felony proudly, despite the idea that she saw no crime in freeing people of oppression. And she could not have another suffer on her behalf either. And that was why she told no one of her plan.
It was into the night that she stole swiftly. She was quick, never lingered in one place for too long, and where she stood against the walls in the shadows and dim lights, she left her touch. Colourful posters, hardly masterful (downright amateurish, to be quite honest), remained where she had been - temporary impressions of the woman and her ideals.
Eggman had started a war the moment his reign began and it was with every intent in her that she would see it end. She cared not for glory. She cared not for any attention that might have been placed onto her, but she believed with her impassioned spirit that she could bring together the force necessary to overthrow him. And whether she truly did or not, Eirika could only try, for that was better than inactivity.
Have some OoC notes!
Eirika's 'rallying the troops' as it were against Eggman. Or basically creating awareness in the form of vibrant (and suspiciously refined) fliers. Waking in the morning, there will be... quite the plethora of them. Not overly done, but placed in appropriate places where they're certain to be seen. She really put some thought into all of this, okay. There are a variety of three different kinds.
You can even find some in the actual town.

Treat this as a reaction post. If you really want to - and you have someone who'd be out at night - you can even witness Eirika's 'diabolical' scheme.
Enjoy Eggman's inevitable temper tantrum.
OKAY. LET'S DATE THIS FOR... AUGUST 19
And she thought about her plan, too. She wasn't in it alone, and if she needed the help, she had it. And she would need it. But the posters were only a beginning. No different than declaring war with a neighbouring province. At least she hadn't flat out invaded.
But good fortune had a way of running out...
Re: OKAY. LET'S DATE THIS FOR... AUGUST 19
One night, as Eirika was busy hanging her propaganda, one lone Badnik had spotted her. A chameleon robot, camouflaged against a building. As it broadcast the signal to Eggman aboard the Egg Carrier, the evil genius watched with bemusement.
"So... It's YOU," he said to himself, stroking his moustache. "All the better!" He pressed a button on his console and issued an order. "All units... bring her to me. Alive."
From Eirika's position, a loud rumbling could be heard, getting louder and louder. Something, or perhaps many somethings, were approaching.

In very little time, she had her rapier ready. Eirika wanted to feel as primitive as an animal, for she believed if she could, she'd be able to act without hesitation. Otherwise, she could be distracted and find herself at the wrong end of her sword.
Her steps were cautious and light and as she moved, which was less fleeing and more trying to find a place that wasn't a corner. I would rather face you than your mindless drones. But could she get him to come out?

Why, to keep her there until their master arrived.
Eggman's unmistakable spherical craft floated overhead, and the mad genius leaned over the edge to address Eirika. "You know, I almost hoped it was you that was behind this! I've been meaning to settle our score! How kind of you to give me the perfect reason!!"

The moment she saw him, she did feel her blood boil a bit. She disliked him to such a great extent that it was hard to keep her expression neutral and composed. "Our score," Eirika parroted. "There was no 'score.' There was you uttering nonsense over something logical that I pointed out. A case of being unable to see eye-to-eye. Most people would take that with a little more grace."
Drawing up her sword, it was simply there to keep him at distance. (Why that would work against a sphere, she had no idea.) She did not lunge or perform any other magical rapier tricks. Had no intentions to. At least not just yet.
"Understand that not a person here in their right sense can refute the truth that I speak. You'll call it a mockery, but everyone knows that what I say is accurate."

At his command, the robots began their attack, punches flying for Eirika as they tried to close the distance.

It was astounding just how quick they could be. Quick for being heavy. Or she assumed they were heavy. They looked heavy. Jabbing for weaknesses in armour with her rapier seemed to do little from what she could see. The kind of armour she was up against, however, was so advanced in comparison to what Seth or Ephraim wore during their spars. Hell, even Grado's armour would have been easier to penetrate.
Which really only resulted in Eirika constantly trying to evade between slightly masterful parries and slices through the once idle air, but she knew well enough she could do it for just a little. When she wore out, she hoped she had a new plan.

"Although perhaps I should take off the kid gloves with you," he added.

Or he just didn't care for the idea that she was completely ignoring his orders. That was a good reason to be pissed.
"I'll make it a lot more convenient for you if you come to me directly instead of roundabout methods," Eirika offered. "If you best me, I'll even go willingly, a free surrender and everything. And you won't have to worry about losing anymore of your precious scraps of metal."

Simple but functional speech. Intricate words, purple prose, silver tongues? Unnecessary.
Black heels and toes moved with little sound, though she wasn't trying to cover her tracks here. She was following orders just as she was designed to and really that was all that mattered. Parameters. Rules. Obedience to them and execute as needed.
A simple life a perfect match for her equally simple smile.
Infamous, though not by choice, Vivian (or Turret 01493642847) walked through fallen SWATbots on a direct path toward Eirika, eyes like valleys of snow, barren and frozen. Cold. A blizzard of hair swept in her wake until she paused in front of her target, focusing solely on her face for now.
Still just a child.
The air around her laid low and still, observing her atmosphere for as much as she was Eirika. In one gloved hand she gripped a gun of unusual design. It was half as big as she, yet somehow Vivian carried it and herself as if its steel construct were as light as a feather.
"Hello," Vivian greeted, still as polite as ever. "Please come with me."

The talking animals was one thing. This creature before her... Well... To say Eirika wasn't further put on edge would have been a rather blatant lie. Except she was still... Vivian was a student, wasn't she? Eirika had passed her many times before, had seen her several times prior. Never really talked with her.
Did anyone else know what was going on, or was it just a really unfortunate time for Eirika to discover it?
"I don't want to hurt you," Eirika found herself saying as she kept her rapier before her, point poised and ready. "You have to know that what I'm doing is for the good of the people here, and for you as well. I didn't know you before, but I knew of you. This can't be you."
You're nothing as I observed. What has he done?

Another step forward. Eirika's indirect threat seemed to mean little to her. Overall, one could say Vivian's progress toward her, though staggered, asserted confidence. The unusual demeanor she possessed , however, didn't express such high self-esteem at all. There wasn't a matter of "I can do this" in her gait, but the simplicity of "I must." Decisions were not hers to make.
"Will you come?" She punctuated her question with tightening fingers around the handle of her weapon.

Defence was fine and defence only.
"Happier," Eirika parroted to the mad doctor. "I think your concept of prosperity is flawed. You've made her into nothing more than a mindless drone. Even if you detain me, even if I'm not the one to stop you, someone else will. You can silence me, but you cannot silence my truth and now everyone knows for certain."
She raised her rapier to Eggman, her gaze exchanging between Vivian and him, careful with the girl - not so much the man. "Your days as the authoritarian are numbered. Spend them wisely."
INTERJECTION
"I'm free."
She pointed her weapon at her this time, using that "freedom" to follow orders. "Please don't resist."
Re: INTERJECTION
Re: INTERJECTION
There was no way to hide how those words affected her, even as her gaze remained utterly glued onto Vivian. Her steps, her strafing, was all instinctual. Stay away from danger. Think about the future. Think about the consequences of those actions. Try not to hurt the girl.
"I... assume you aren't the one to make agreements," she began. Her words were for Eggman, but her attention was far more on Vivian. "I know how much you despise me for what I did. I understand it and I respect it. You clearly want to get rid of me. That's fine."
With her off hand, she thought about the people in the academy. She knew what was going to happen afterward, regardless of her survival or not. She'd accomplished what she'd set out to do, and that was what mattered, right? Connor and Gordon sat at the forefront of her mind. Blaze, too. Innes. Mary.
"There's a girl in this academy. Mary. I'll surrender myself freely and you can do with me as you'd like. I won't resist, but in return, this girl is not to be harmed in any way by you."
